Forgiveness

In honor of Yom Kippur, a time where Jews all around the world take time to reflect on their actions in the past and practice forgiveness toward themselves and others, here is a copy  of my Huffington Post article on forgiveness.
In this article, I offer 9 Steps to support you in being kind to yourself and in having harmonious relationships. I invite you to work with these steps for a 30-day period of time and let me know how your relationships blossom.
Wishing you all many blessings!

Million Mamas Movement Loves Ellen DeGeneres

LOVE

Los Angeles, CA, February 10, 2012 – Wendy Silvers, the founder of the Million Mamas Movement, said today, “we are not One Million Moms and we have no affiliation with that organization. Silvers, a Los Angeles mom who has been teaching compassionate parenting practices for almost a decade, was recently inspired to create the Million Mamas Movement. It is a grassroots, global moment led by the mamas, supported by the papas, to engage mothers and others to unify and create powerful change that provides greater peace, freedom and safety for mamas and children. The transformation of bullying is one of their initiatives.

The Million Mamas Movement will launch with the inaugural Million Mamas March on Mother’s Day, May 13, 2012, the first ever live and virtual event to occur at the Washington Monument. The focus of the march will be ending bullying. The intention of the Million Mamas Movement is to be a live and virtual hub where each year an unresolved issue that affects the well-being of mothers and children is addressed. Speakers at the march include Marianne Williamson, Michael Beckwith, Rickie Byars Beckwith and Kathy Eldon, Shajen Joy Aziz, Paula Noble Fellingham, and Wendy Silvers, with more to be announced.

“The Million Mamas Movement values inclusivity,” Silvers said. “We believe that what happened to Ellen DeGeneres this week is bullying on a grand scale. We love Ellen and congratulate JC Penney for staying with their decision to retain her as their spokesperson. A person’s sexual preference is their business. It is vitally important for our children to see acceptance and inclusivity modeled so that they learn to embrace their own uniqueness. When people feel good about themselves, bullying and hate crimes do not occur.”

Silvers comments, “How the mamas and babies are treated and the way we mother our children and ourselves reveals the well-being of our society.” It is Silvers’ belief that mothers and others joining together in support of mothers and others worldwide will transform the world.
